The combat in Elden Ring is something that players all over the world are drawn to the game for. There are multiple ways players can approach combat in Elden Ring. For example, one player might be able to do long-range magic attacks as their primary source of damage. Another player may decide to wield a gigantic club and simply smash enemies to bits.
How you decide to attack often is decided by how you respec your character in Elden Ring. One way players can dish out damage in Elden Ring is by dual-wielding weapons in the game. Dual-wielding weapons are pretty easy in Elden Ring, and it is very useful. Here, we will go over the details of how you can dual-wield weapons in Elden Ring.
In Elden Ring, there are a large number of weapons that are in the game. Each weapon has its unique traits and requirements for you to equip them. All of these rules will apply if you want to dual-wield weapons. If you cannot hold that weapon with one hand, dual-wielding it will give you diminishing returns in terms of damage.
If you have the stats to hold that weapon in one hand, then you can dual-wield that weapon. To do so, you will simply need to put that weapon in the off-hand slot and put another weapon in your main-hand slot. Then once you equip both weapons, you will be able to pull both weapons out. Equipping two weapons is done on the main menu in the equipment tab.
It is more often than not a good idea to dual-wield weapons in Elden Ring. Dual-wielding will give you double damage, which can be critical when facing tough enemies. Dual-wielding will also give you faster debuff stacks if both of your weapons deal with the same kind of debuff. For example, dual-wielding katanas will give you even faster bleed stacks against the enemy, causing them to take bleed damage faster.
But be sure to dual-wield weapons that are of the same type. That means dual-wield katanas do not in one hand use a katana and another a whip. If you dual-wield the same type of weapon, you can get a Power Stance which allows you to attack with both weapons together. This is very useful when it comes to getting faster debuff stacks against your enemies in Elden Ring.
